In Nordic Germanic cultures people held the belief that animal spirits were guardian spirits. Once connected and living in harmony with these guardians, people were thought to acquire their amazing powers which could be enormous - more than dreamed possible.
Different forces were linked to different animal guardians. All were considered protective. As we integrate different animal guardians into our lives and harmoniously live with them, we increase our potential for adaption, strength, courage, playfulness, and the ability to read signs/omens for higher perceptions. Animal guardians have much to teach us. To learn we must make the connection and talk to them.
