How We Dream And Why We Dream

When examining the interpretation of dreams, it is important to examine what role dreams play in our lives. Dream research has shown that dreams play an important role both physically and mentally, and how we should dream and why we dream is important for everyone who is interested in dream interpretation.

The physical side of dreaming
During dream sleep, the body undergoes some major changes. During your dream sleep, your adrenaline release level increases, your blood pressure rises and your hearing aids increase. It is important to note the effects that scientists have found on brain waves and dreams. Dream studies have shown that brain activity during dream sleep is longer than normal waking time. Therefore, dreams can be considered as a higher state of consciousness in many ways. Dream sleep is also known as REM sleep or rapid eye movement sleep. As the name suggests, during dream sleep, the eyes move fast in the closed lid.

The psychological side of dreaming
Although science has not yet fully understood the function of dream sleep, we know that dreaming is essential to our physical and mental well-being. Studies have shown that people who are deprived of dream sleep exhibit a variety of psychological symptoms. In one study, volunteers woke up before entering the REM sleep cycle, and were later allowed to return to sleep. This cycle repeats overnight. Although all volunteers slept at the same time as usual, they experienced impairment in their daily activities.

This study and subsequent studies have shown that dreaming is an integral part of our well-being. Most studies have confirmed the importance of dreaming and the psychological effects of lack of sleep for those who sleep.
